Ive been a fan of Goldsworthy since I was about 8. I find it quite hard to find artists who are famous and who's work is similar in style and subject to mine. A great problem during a-levels, but now Im at uni its not too much of a worry. I dont think Im influenced by many artists as such, I'll do my own work and look for links later lol.
Thanks for the comment an good luck with getting your own place and chucks
I was going to ask if you'd heard of Andy Goldsworthy before I read dev information. I thought of him as soon as I saw your pebbles piece. Also, I was thinking of owning some buff orpingtons when I get my own place and the picture in your scraps sealed the deal!
-"Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?" -"Of course it is happening inside your head, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?"
Yup....I frequent the Suffolk and Essex coast.......well I was born and raised in Harwich. Being Anglo/Dutch the Kroller Muller is a frequent place I visit.....Noordwijk.....in the 1950's my uncle was the boss of the telephone exchange there....but guess that was another era for you.....(lol)
Wish you well in the future....just build on your existing super talent!

Re-cycled hippy....just happy that I'm old enough to have seen Hendrix, Clapton and Mayall live!!
Super painting of the stones at Aldeburgh......like the mussels at St Ives.........Are you following me around????? Aldeburgh, the brilliant Kroller Muller Museum, St Ives, Noordwijk aan Zee... all visited in the last 2 years!

I'm only moving out by the end of september cos uni starts at october, the books are so expensive, i guess i'll have to rely on my student loans a lot. Keep up the good work, i know u'll become something big with them in future.
They wont let you? Thats so unfair. My philosophy is always "do what you enjoy and the rest will figure itself out eventually" I guess doing an art degree doesnt leave me with a guarenteed job like your degree does (or more so than art) but I know I'll love it. Cant believe I move out next week!
Ive just finished A-levels in Art and Photography so all the black and white photos are from the college dark room but most of the colour photos are from home. The paintings vary, its about equal what I do at home/college, mainly because they take so long! I'd quite happily live in a studio tho, lol
hey, I checked out your gallery and what you said on the forum, your lucky you get to do an art degree, my parents wont let me. Your artworks looks really good, did you do them at home or school/college.
Same. Really should have done more... Although having said that, I did sell two paintings, and have saved up a fair bit of money to help with uni. Right now Im sitting in the study trying to pack up my stuff from in here, and just making a mess
Aw cool. I was just shopping with some friends from town, buying boots (as is my first love) mainly. I had half expected to see someone I knew in London, but didnt.
i was with amy. saw you a couple of times.. though at those points where you stop, and stare into space, and pick up on little things, so you were far away..
we were in london, i took amy as a birthday surprise, bought us tickets to see little shop of horrors!
how about you, just shopping?
we actually saw hannah cutting and ashley later on at liverpool st.
funny day.
